The information gathered during recruitment now starts to come together in a more meaningful way. Digital enrolment establishes the learner record and creates the Individual Learner Record (ILR), helping ensure teams are working from the same information throughout the onboarding process.
Recognition of Prior Learning and skills scanning build on that picture, helping providers understand the knowledge, skills and experience learners already bring with them. Rather than starting from assumptions, delivery teams can begin with a clearer understanding of each learner's capabilities, previous experience and development needs.
Initial and diagnostic assessments add further context, helping providers identify strengths, knowledge gaps and areas where additional support may be beneficial. Neurodivergence screening provides another valuable layer of insight, ensuring learners receive the support they need as early as possible.
By this stage, a far more complete learner profile has started to emerge. Providers are no longer relying solely on application information or enrolment data, but building a richer understanding of the individual behind it.
That understanding makes a real difference once learners go on programme. Learning plans can be tailored more effectively, support can be introduced earlier and delivery teams can move forward with greater confidence.
